KEACH’S BAPTIST CATECHISM, QUESTION 29: CHRIST OUR KINGSUMMARY: “As our King, Christ subdues the whole world, and then restores His kingdom to its intended glory. He will subdue the flesh, and sin, and Satan, and even death before He is done, and then He will reign forever in righteousness.”QUESTION 29. How does Christ execute the office of a king?
ANSWER. Christ executes the office of a king, in subduing us to Himself, in ruling and defending us, and in restraining and conquering all His and our enemies. (Ps. 110:3; Mt. 2:6; 1Cor. 15:25)I.
